How has your business changed since the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator?
Teslar has had significant improvements since we finished the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator. Our Demos are up ten-fold, we have doubled our staff and have plans to also double our office space. And, we have signed more revenue in Q2 than we did in the first six months of last year.
What’s the latest great news from Teslar Software?
We’ve had so much great news lately! We won the Banker’s Choice Award for Most Impactful Solution at ICBA Live 2019, and ICBA went on to invest in our company bringing our total seed capital raise to $2 million. Tricia Hopkins, CFO of ICBA, also joined our board of directors, which is certainly exciting. We’ve extended our geographic reach and signed new banks with headquarters in Florida and West Virginia.
What’s do you see for the future of Teslar Software?
We see Teslar evolving into an end-to-end solution for lending and deposits that is mobile friendly and empowers community banks of all sizes to boost efficiencies and grow with confidence.
What do you count as your biggest professional success?
I would say that remaining determined to make a positive impact on the financial services industry has been my most significant professional success. I started Teslar during the biggest economic downturn in modern times, and our company has now grown to serve community banks across the country. It hasn’t always been easy, but we have persevered through it all.
What has your biggest professional obstacle been?
When you are growing fast, as we are, trust is a huge hurdle. You have to be able to empower your people to accomplish their tasks, but also make sure that our client banks continue to trust us and remain protected.
What are you currently reading, and why?
I don’t have much time to read, but I do enjoy a good audiobook from time to time. But, I recently finished listening to the Trillion Dollar Coach by Erick Schmidt, Jonathan Rosenberg, and Alan Eagle. It’s about the life of professional coach Bill Campbell, and it’s a great legacy story on a man that touched many lives across all classes and demographics.
